LD: “Why do you hate people if you understand them so well?”
Me: “I hate people because I understand them so well.”

I found the question interesting because she had been discussing her skepticism of someone’s belief in the inherent good of humanity only moments before, as the question itself implied that she believed that people are born good. I know that understanding people’s intentions frequently makes me think more negatively of human nature but I suppose I am uncertain of exactly what I do believe overall.
